The STL Hoop Club home base is located at 2720 Cherokee Street in St. Louis. This beautiful space is an art gallery and special events space. Private lessons and workshops are available for booking.

Meet the Founder and Organizer
Michelle Schaeffer aka Mishi Michelle
BIOGRAPHY – Michelle is an instructor, performer, and leader with a passion for event coordination and the movement arts. She is the founder and coordinator of the STL Hoop Club. Working closely with such nationally recognized movement organizations such Hoopnotica, The HoopPath, Ninja Hoops, Luna Breeze Performance Art, and the Vulcan Crew she has hosted a variety of workshops and traveling performers in studio. Michelle holds three Hoopnotica teacher certifications and actively teaches hoop dance and hoop fitness in the St. Louis metro area. Michelle works exclusively with local talent agency Circus Kaput as a hula-hooper, living statue, and stilt walker.
The STL Hoop Club participate in and host over 100 events annually. Notable hoop experiences for Michelle include performing for such artists as Beats Antique, CyberLab 2000, Dirtfoot, Melvin Seals and the JGB, Hot Buttered Rum, Mouth, Random Rab, and countless others. She has taught hoop at the Wakarusa Music Festival in 2011-15 LOUFEST, and at many local schools and at special events.
