This event will be amazing. The day will hold workshops of various skill-levels and spin trades, a spin jam, hoop building workshop and more. There will be several workshops and guest instructors. Guest instructors include Luna Breeze, Surka Noelle, and Ziggy the Hoop Dancer from Kansas City. Members of the STL Hoop Club will also be teaching.

World Hoop Day St. Louis is proud to be celebrating its 3rd year. We will be working hard to maintain our goal of donating 100 hand-made hoops to a needy St. Louis Public School. We have donated over 200 hoops in the last two years and it does make a difference in a child’s life.

This collection of images is a summary of hoop sister and Fire Tech performer Ivory’s trip to Abuja, Nigeria in Africa this past month. With the help of her friends and family she was able to collect clothes and needed items to give to people in need in Nigeria. Her hoop goddess within made a lasting impression on so many. Ivory spent much of her time making hoops and giving them to children.

Michelle Schaeffer, Jenn Rauscher, and Surka Noelle from the Cosmic Collaborative Performance Ensemble and Ziggy the Hoop Dancer joined Luna Breeze from Luna Breeze Performance Art based out of Kansas City MO to teach and perform hoop dance at the Wakarusa Music and Art Festival held June 2-5 at Mulberry Mountain Arkansas.
