Hooping – America’s Favorite Pastime Reborn

The St. Louis Hoop Club has the edge on hula-hooping in St. Louis.  We have a staff of experienced and certified teachers, offer regular classes, specialty visiting instructor classes, in addition to offering professional performance (by Cosmic Collaborative)  for all occasions. We work with many local nonprofit organizations in addition to many performance and talent focused businesses and organizations as well.  We are inspired and driven by movement.  Many of our students have a life changing experience with the circle in addition to seeing positive physical changes in body and mind. Summer into Fall is packed with opportunity to step in the hoop with us.  Be inspired by your healthy activity.

Guests of Artopia can expect a night filled with creativity and exciting entertainment complete with: 2 fashion shows, live music, art displayed in myriad form, cultural dance performances, plenty of food & drink, and much more!  Check out the official Artopia website for more details and to purchase tickets and the Artopia Event on Facebook to stay current on the latest event updates.  Tickets will be sold at a discount for a limited time.   Check out the re-cap from last years event.

Enjoy camping and music like at an event like no other.  The STL Hoop Club was inspired by the hoop at this very event in 2008.  Michelle Schaeffer, founder of the STL Hoop Club has been volunteering at this event since its beginning.  The hoop club is delighted to host a variety of flow workshops at the 2013 festivities for the 4th year.  More to be announced.

Herstory 2013 This Weekend

The Cosmic Collaborative will be giving performances both nights throughout the evening Friday and Saturday at the 9th Annual Herstory Weekend in Belleville Illinois.  This will be out fourth year supporting this event.  Funds raised go to give scholarships to single parents.

Hosted by the TOCO foundation.

March is National Women’s History Month & organizers of the 9th Annual Herstory Weekend are gearing up for another exciting celebration in Belleville; just 20 minutes from the Arch! Delectable libations & clever conversations abound!

The weekend also offers haircuts & styles by Heather from Green Apple Salon for the Beautiful Lengths Ceremony (all 8” hair goes to make wigs for cancer survivors).

On March 19 at Mad Art Gallery. Circus Now: an evening celebrating contemporary American circus and The Ordinary Acrobat, hosted by Duncan Wall with presentations and performances from the circus community.
