STL Hoop Club

Welcome friends, hula-hoop enthusiasts and flow artists.  Throughout the nation hooping and spinning in general have become a past-time once again.  We are proud to offer St. Louis and surroundings communities the outlet to experiment, play, perform, learn, and love.  Our goal is to provide visitors a unique hoop dance or spin related experience while visiting our studio, taking our classes, or attending an event.  We offer no membership officially, but do offer monthly classes and specialty workshops in addition to taking part in dozens of events locally and regionally.

STL Hoop Club Mission

The STL Hoop Club is a community focused organization that offers in-house workshops (at our studio taught by our teachers) guest instructor workshops, several levels of classes, private lessons, and Spin Jams.  Please visit our FACEBOOK or join our mailing list (coming soon) to receive and view current events and their details.  In addition to working out of our studio we also work on location at local schools, kids camps, and at special events.  Our mission and passion is share and teach hoop dance and hoop fitness to people of all ages.

The Cosmic Collaborative is the performance group of the STL Hoop Club. This team of individual performers ranges in talent from fire dance with many types of props, aerial, lyra, hoop,  and multiple hoop- we offer customization by pair our craft with choreography and costuming designed specifically for the event.  We also offer improv performance for just about any occasion.  Types of events we participate include art shows, music shows, large community based events, festivals of all kinds, and more.  We love sharing our love for the hoop.  To get a quote for your event or special engagement please send an email with your event details to info@stlhoopclub.com.

Our Signature Event – WHD STL

World Hoop Day is the hooper’s holiday.  For 2013 it will be celebrated on October 5th.  There is a big event, offering a variety of performance, workshops, and other activities.  In St. Louis we do our part by giving 100 hand-made hoops to a selected school in the St. Louis Public Schools district as our contribution to the World Hoop Day concept.  The STL hoop Club to date has donated 400 hand-made hoops to three different schools and taught over a dozen workshops in direct relation to this project.  Details about this annual project will be released about 3 months prior to the event.

Night Jams at Koken Art Factory

Open to the public and family friendly- this monthly meet-up called Night Jam is offered at the Koken Art Factory.  A five dollar fee is requested from those that are 12 and up.  Typically we meet once a  month on the second Friday from 7-10pm (2500 Ohio Avenue in St. Louis).  Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to see daily posts about our events.  Off street parking is available.  Music is provided live by a local DJ or band for each event.  Over 40 demo hoops of various sizes, weights, or lights are at your disposal to play with.  A cash bar is also open.  (www.kokenartfactory.com) 

The Cosmic Collaborative

The Cosmic Collaborative is a group of dedicated flow artists from St. Louis and the surrounding areas.  We have a passion for event enhancement.  Our performance artists use various props such as hula-hoops, fire hoops, poi, eat fire, and dance with ariel silks. All performers are experienced and professional. Individuals carry their own insurance for performance.  Costuming can be created for any event theme for an additional cost. Types of events we participate in include: music festivals, social gatherings, school workshops, private events, art shows, music shows, fund raisers, corporate functions, benefits and more. Please book two months in advance to secure your requested dates.
