STL Hoop Club Joins Forces With Circus Kaput

Posted March 27th, 2015 by Michelle

Local Entertainer of STL Hoop Club Joins Forces with Circus Kaput

Last month big decisions were made in regard to the way STL Hoop Club handles performance opportunities.  Circus based entertainment agency Circus Kaput and Owner-Artistic Director Michelle Schaeffer have joined forces with the industry leader and will now be one of a handful of top entertainers the organization has to offer to event clients.

Schaeffer will continue to offer teaching and workshops to her clients as the STL Hoop Club. All performing opportunities will now go through Circus Kaput.  In return for signing, she was given a package that includes professional development in areas that she currently doesn’t offer.  Part of that development has been collaboration with Circus Kaput owner Josh Routh on her new library show, Hooping Harmony.  Company owners will also be developing Schaeffer’s amazing live presence into a performing character called Magnificent Mishi, who will become one of the circus’s Featured Acts.

Part of the attraction for both parties in this venture has been the desire to take hula hoop performances to a new level.  Schaeffer and Circus Kaput management will be collaborating to develop an exciting new hula hoop act concept which will combine a vintage 1950s feel with cutting edge hula hoop circus tricks.  The troupe will be called “Hooperama”.  Circus Kaput will bring in a West Coast based circus performer to give the group some ideas in the Spring.

About Circus Kaput

For over 20 years, Circus Kaput has been providing quality entertainment throughout Missouri, Illinois and beyond. We provide performers for all kinds of special occasions including fairs, festivals, college shows, corporate events, company/church picnics, birthdays, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and much more. With a personal touch, we work hard to make sure that your event is a huge success. Their performers have entertained all over the world in venues as diverse as theatrical productions, films, circuses, backyards, college quads, concerts, even street performing in Europe and Asia.
